Your numbers

What has your home actually built for you?

Rough estimate only, based on standard amortization — not a quote. For an exact figure, a broker will pull your real payoff amount.

What the home was worth (or what you paid) when you took out the loan.
Use your average rate over the loan so far — close enough works, whether it's been fixed, variable, or a mix of both.
Use decimals for part-years, e.g. 8.5
If you know your actual payoff figure, use it here — otherwise we'll estimate it from the fields above.
A recent appraisal, a local agent's estimate, or a comps-based guess all work.

Borrowing power

How much could you service?

A separate, rough estimate of what you could borrow based on income and household costs — not your equity. We use a household expenditure benchmark rather than asking you to itemise your spending, and test it the way lenders do. Real serviceability depends on the lender's own policy.

Before tax. Include all applicants on the loan.
Used to estimate typical household living costs (HEM benchmark).
Leave as 0 if you don't currently pay rent. Rent sits outside the HEM benchmark, so we add it separately.
Car loans, personal loans, credit card minimums, etc.
